When you're about to text or email a loved one in anger, you write the unfiltered version into Soft Start first — the one you'd regret. The app decodes what's actually happening: it scores your message's "heat" from 1–10, identifies the emotions in it and what each one is masking (anger sitting on top of hurt, sarcasm covering loneliness), and tells you what you really need versus what they need to hear.
Then it rewrites your message into one you can actually send. Two modes: "I run hot" strips the attacks, absolutes, and sarcasm while keeping your point fully intact — built for people working on anger; "We're in a fight" turns it into couples repair language — a soft opening, I-statements, owning your part, and a specific ask to reconnect. The letter stays editable, and one tap opens your email app with everything pre-filled, so the only thing left to do is press send. Soft Start never sends anything on its own.
Every letter you save builds your relationship log: a private timeline showing each conflict's heat before and after, so over time you can literally watch yourselves get better at fighting. The argument count doesn't have to go down for the relationship to go up — what shrinks is the temperature.
Write it raw. Send it kind. Keep the receipts of your growth.
